The March 2023 release notes for ReportWORQ 5 describe a couple changes to how Active Forms are rendered by ReportWORQ. These changes are designed to be consistent with Active Forms rendering by the TM1 Perspectives and Planning Analytics for Excel (PAfE) Excel add-in:
- Hierarchy Formatting / Indentation: We now indent element names according to hierarchy display / indentation levels for TM1RPTROW columns. The optional “indent” parameter in TM1RPTROW formulas, which can be used to adjust the amount of indentation for each level, is now used by ReportWORQ, as well.
- Drill Indicators: Although we don’t support drill-down/drill-up in ReportWORQ-generated output we now render the same “+” and “-” formatting. As with the Perspectives / PAfE add-ins, these indicators can be disabled by setting the “drill” parameter in TM1RPTROW formulas to 0.
Many customers had been asking for this change, which we are glad to have now released. But we wanted to call out these changes because, even though ReportWORQ is now generating output that is more consistent with Perspectives / PAfE, it’s possible some ReportWORQ customers may be relying on the prior ReportWORQ rendering of Active Forms, which did not automatically indent element names or show +/- indicators.
Going forward in ReportWORQ 5, if you do NOT want indentation of element names, simply set the “indent” parameter in a TM1RPTROW formula to 0. And if you do NOT want +/- indicators to be used, set the “drill” parameter in a TM1RPTROW formula to 0.
Thanks as always for your feedback and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!
