ReportWORQ Formula Audit

Hi,

Is it still possible to download the Audit Reports Tool? I think it used to be included with RW4.

I’ve had a new laptop so have lost it. I tried googling but can’t access the webpage where it looks to be available:

Kind Regards,
Nick

Hi Nick,

Thanks for reaching out! We are in the process of archiving our V4 documentation since that version is no longer being update. We’ll published that archive in PDF form soon.

We would love to hear more about how you’re using the Audit Reports tool and where it’s been helpful, since as you’ve seen it is not currently part of the ReportWORQ 5 web interface. This Audit Reports tool came in 2 flavors:

  • Audit Report utility with our free Print Reports / BoostWORQ utilities, which you can find a link to here: QueBIT Software - Print Reports. This was limited to auditing one report at a time.
  • Audit Reports utility with ReportWORQ 4: this was identical but allowed you to audit multiple reports at one time.

As I said, ReportWORQ 5 does not currently have this tool included, but you are more than welcome to use the BoostWORQ/Print Reports version, or since you are a current ReportWORQ customer, you could also install and run ReportWORQ 4.4, use your RW 4.4 license key, and continue using its “bulk” Audit Reports feature.

Let me know if that helps and, again, we’d love to hear what sorts of things you’re doing with the Audit Report(s) feature.

Thanks!
Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the link, I’ll give that a go.

I found the audit report tool useful when colleagues come to me looking for help when their files contain TM1 errors. I could just select one of the cells containing an error and use the audit tool to pinpoint which parameter was causing the issue, without having to go through the whole DBRW formula dimension by dimension.

It was also useful sometimes for checking if a file was failing due to performance reasons as opposed to any actual errors.

Kind Regards,
Nick

Hi Nick,

Thanks for the info - I’ve officially added a request to being back a similar option in ReportWORQ 5. I agree it can be pretty handy and I’m also glad to hear it’s been useful to you and your team!

Thanks!
Mike
