v6 UI Feedback: Job Navigation and Workspace Visibility
Quote from Llewellyn Evans on September 30, 2026, 1:04 pmWe recently installed ReportWORQ v6 and have begun running it in parallel with v5 to evaluate the new features and differences. I did not see a dedicated area in the forum for v6 feedback, so I wanted to share two observations and potential improvements:
- Default action when opening a job
Currently on v5 the default action when double clicking on a job name takes the user to edit mode (which is what our team and users expect). On v6 it defaults to show the history/output, yes there is a small pencil icon to the right of the job name but less intuitive and will be a learning curve for our users. [I can understand the logic if RWQ v6 is being built for consumers to use it more then job owners/admin's that it could be beneficial to default the click of a job name to show history outputs however, if you have edit access to the job that might not be how you want it to behave]
- Workspace visibility
Also it is difficult to see what workspace I am in. The path for the job shows "Workspace" > "jobname" , wouldn't it better if it actually showed the name of the workspace. Currently only under the profile icon in the top right will show me what workspace I am in. At least in v5 it will show the workspace name on the browsers tab (always visible)
