We have recently started using the Writeback feature on RW5. Is there a way to have the history of emails it has processed moved out from the main job screen? Or removed if older than X days and processed? I also noticed that when hitting refresh or check inbox it didn’t remove an e-mail that I had deleted from the inbox it was checking and didn’t want processed. If you delete an email in the inbox being monitored, does it take a while for it to be removed from the writeback screen?
Great questions.
We recently implemented retentions for the History screen, but haven’t yet for the writeback screen. We haven’t done this because the retentions for writeback processing would likely need to be different than distribution. Also we have a lot of enhancements to writeback slated for sometime in Q1, and those enhancements would make features like retentions easier to use. In the meantime we should allow for a manual delete of history, so I’ll add that to our enhancement list.
RE deleting the email message. ReportWORQ doesn’t synchronize with the mailbox, instead it imports the email and attachments. Once it’s imported, ReportWORQ won’t import it again and deleting it from the mailbox won’t have any impact on ReportWORQ. Having that delete option discussed above is what you need. In the meantime you can delete the entry manually by navigating into your repository directory.
{install_path}\Repository\Segments{some id}\Writeback\Upload
Look for a folder in there which contains the email and file that you want removed and then delete the folder.
